FAQ

Q: Do I have to fill out the intake form?

A: Yes please, it is important I have all the information I need. The intake form is similar to a doctors office visit so that I am aware of any potential contraindications. However Im aware the current form can feel overwhelming if there are some things you'd like to skip over you can I just ask that you fill out as much as your comfortable providing. If necessary information is missing I may ask when you come in for your session. This would include any injuries or health concerns.

Q: Is draping required?

A: Yes! In accordance with state law and as per policy draping is absolutely required. Please be advised any attempts at crossing professional boundaries will result in a fee in the amount of the full session cost, you will be asked to leave immediately and not aloud back in the future. I am a professional licensed massage therapist and there is zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior.

Q: Are same day appointments available?

A: Unfortunately no. I do typically book at least one week out.

Q: Are evening appointments available?

A: No, my normal business hours are M-T 10a-5p

Q: Do I have to be completely undressed?

A: Undress to your comfort level. For a full body massage, most get completely undressed. I usually say it's best to undress the same way you would for a doctors visit. You will be covered by a set a sheets and a blanket with only the area being worked on uncovered. You also have complete privacy before and after the session to undress and dress. This appointment is for you to feel relaxed and comfortable so if undressing completely is uncomfortable to the point you feel you cannot relax or is causing anxiety I will do my best to work around clothing because I completely understand and respect any boundaries you require to feel comfortable and safe.

Q: I just got my period, should I cancel?

A: No way! Unless you dont feel well and would really rather be laying curled up in a ball under your covers at home of course. Recieving a massage while on your period has no negative effects. Massage may actually help! It's a great mood booster and muscle relaxer. Plus I have a table warmer I can turn on!

Q: Should I shave my legs before my appointment?

A: Not necessary! Many women feel like they have to shave their legs/arms before a massage appointment but I'd like to go on record and say it's natural and this is a judgement free zone! Do as you please but it's not needed or expected so don't fret! Come as you are :)

Q: Do you offer any discounts?

A: Not currently but occasionally I will do discounts via email for special occasions and gift certificates.

Q: Do you offer medical massage:

A: Unfortunately no. I do not have experience with post op or medical massage. I do offer a therapeutic massage. This means I can help with pain management, range of motion, muscle tension, relaxation and all the other natural benefits massage provides however I am not knowledgeable in what is required post op or for certain injuries and conditions. Please consult your doctor to make sure massage is not contraindicated before scheduling a session. I am able to avoid specific areas if you or your doctor is concerned about a particular area but you would still like a massage for separate concerns.

Q: What's the cancellation policy?

A: Please provide at least 24 hour cancelation notice. A no-show appointment will result in a fee equaling 100% of the session cost. Cancelling or rescheduling after the 24 hour mark will result in a fee of 50% of the session cost. (Example: 90 minute session scheduled for 10am = $120;  No-show =$120 / Cancelling or asking to reschedule after 10am the day prior to your appointment = $60)
